Fernando de Noronha is an archipelago of volcanic origin formed by 21 islands and islets, which can be seen from the island itself, and also through tours by boat. Distant 345 km from Cape of São Roque in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, 545 km from the state of Pernambuco in Recife, and 2,600 kilometers of the African continent. The base of the island is 4000 meters deep.
